The goal of the CBAC program is to teach children the latest techniques in swimming and diving, and to help them learn how to be valuable team members, both in and out of the water.
We view every practice as providing a valuable piece of a puzzle, with the finished result showing a spirited child who is knowledgeable about their sport and an effective contributor to a team. The coaching staff views each child individually and works toward helping each of them reach their greatest potential and personal goals.
In attempting to teach these objectives we want the divers and swimmers to enjoy the sport and have fun in obtaining their goals.
CBAC is sponsored by the Central Bucks School District's Community School. The team is a member of the Suburban Aquatic League (SAL).
Central Bucks Community School now has two teams, CBAC East and CBAC SouthWest. Each team is made up of boys and girls, swimmers and divers and a dvelopmental diving and swimming team. . Boys' and girls' dual meets are held at different locations (for example, boys are home and girls are away). The diving portion of each meet is usually held immediately prior to warmups for swimming.
All residents of Central Bucks School District are eligible to participate in Central Bucks Community School team. If there are openings after evaluations a resident of New Hope or Tinicum may join the team if they are qualified for that age group
While swimming lessons are offered from toddlers through adults, we have found that children younger than age 7 are not physically or emotionally ready for a competitive swimming or diving team. A child younger than 7 will be considered if there are openings.
We encourage younger swimmers to participate in our swimming lesson and clinic programs to develop their stroke mechanics and physical stamina, to prepare for a competitive environment when they reach age 7.
If you have questions about eligibility for our programs, please contact the Central Bucks Aquatics Manager at cbswim@comcast.net.
